Your Role: The Heartbeat of Our Financial Operations
Job Summary
As a Payment Processor within our Accounting Department, you will be the central figure in our claims payment lifecycle. Your core mission is to ensure that processed claims are accurately reported to payers, payments are prepared and sent to healthcare providers without delay, and all financial records are updated with impeccable precision. You will be the guardian of our financial workflow, coordinating activities to ensure everything runs with seamless efficiency.
A Day in the Life: Key Responsibilities
Your day will be dynamic, structured, and critical to our operations. Here’s what you will be accountable for:
1. Claims Reporting & Disbursement:
- You will be responsible for generating and sending detailed reports of processed claims to our payers (insurance companies) on a regular, scheduled basis.
- Your primary duty will be to prepare Electronic Fund Transfers (EFTs) to pay our network of healthcare providers, ensuring this is done within the strict Turnaround Time (TAT) to maintain trust and operational fluidity.
2. Financial Integrity & Compliance:
- You will ensure that every financial transaction is recorded in our accounting software in a timely manner.
- A key part of your role will be to maintain a robust audit trail, making sure every entry is compliant and backed by the proper supporting documentation.
- You will be a champion of our internal control procedures, diligently following protocols to safeguard the company’s financial assets.
3. Accounting Management & Reconciliation:
- Meeting all accounting deadlines is non-negotiable. You will own this responsibility, ensuring month-end and other periodic closures happen smoothly.
- You will maintain various account reconciliations, identifying and investigating any discrepancies with a detective’s eye for detail.
- You will prepare and post necessary monthly journal entries to keep our general ledger accurate and up-to-date.
4. Communication & Problem-Solving:
- You will be the point of contact for both internal teams and external partners regarding payment-related inquiries. Your communication—both written and verbal—will be professional, clear, and effective.
- A significant part of your role involves resolving accounting discrepancies. When a number doesn’t match, you will be the one to find out why and correct it.
5. Record Keeping & Organization:
- You will maintain an organized and easily accessible filing system for all financial records.
- When required, you will be the go-to person to provide accurate and detailed information about transaction histories and record details.

Qualifications & Experience:
